On June 1, 2019, Gary Hartig - KØWLC was appointed the ARES Emergency Coordinator for Cedar County by Iowa State ARES. He will be missed as an AEC in Muscatine County, but we look forward to working with Gary in his new position.
Gary has a strong background in law enforcement, corrections and public service. He has already has a good working relationship with Cedar County Emergency Management and encourage all licensed amateur radio operators that reside in Cedar County to contact Gary and register yourselves with ARES. He can be reached via email at Cedar@IowaARES.org.

For the time being, all nets and meetings will be combined with the Muscatine & Louisa County team. Please support Gary in his new role and wish him well in his mission.
