Echolink Changes: Node Callsign Changed

The Echolink node hooked to the KCØAQS 146.310/910 repeater has been changed to KCØAQS-R (from NØMRZ-R). It will only effect those that are connecting off their phone app or computer. The DTMF tones to control it will not change.

The NØMRZ-R node will be re-assigned to a Simplex repeater on ARES Emergency channel 147.510. At first the plan is to link this simplex channel to the repeater until those currently using it sign on and get the connect message to please change their favorite to KCØAQS-R instead.

We can still link the two together in times of need, or connect directly to it if the link on the repeater goes down. I plan to build a battery backup for the NØMRZ-R node.

The NØMRZ-R node will be receiving/transmitting at 65 watts from 20' at my QTH, until it is placed at the top of the new tower later this Spring at 65' in it's final residing location.

Thank you, de Scott - NØMRZ
